How did you get your nickname?

Posted in

Not every chapter has the tradition of naming each other, but many do.  I'll start off:

Epsilon Sigma has a tradition of volunteering at a Boy Scout camp throughout the year called Camp Schoellkopf.  This chapter hold weekends there that include service, fellowship and sometimes even chapter ceremonies like initiations.  Spending the weekend entails sleeping of course and several times over the course of one weekend I would shout "nobody look at me, I have no pants on" while changing in the corner of the cabin.  I guess this stuck with a few brothers and I am now called:

Pantsless

While I love my nickname, it doesn't give a great impression from the back of a lettered hoodie, so I'm always open to alternative/additional names. =)

Your turn!

Ok, I'll volunteer next.

Ok, I'll volunteer next. Anyone who's ever met me knows that I always greet and say goodbye to people, whether I know you or now, with a giant HUG. Although I'm much more calm when it comes to hugging these days, while active I would practically tackle people. As a result I came to be known as:

Huggies

For those of you snickering, I agree they could have come up with a name not associated with diapers to reflect my hugging tendencies. As it happened, brothers from New Jersey City University agreed and renamed me:

Huggables

Your turn!
