Howie Barnes professionally is an educator, and is his school's registrar and official jack of all trades. Howie earned a bachelor of science in earth science and chemistry as well as a Masters of Science in Education and Curriculum, Both from SUNY Brockport. He also is a charter member of the Palmyra- Macedon Kiwanis, twice a distinguished club president and distinguished Kiwanian. Serves a member of his church council and lives with his wife Blondie (KO '86) and children Howie (EG '00) and Katie (EG '00)
In the fraternity Howie is charter president of the Iota Omega chapter at SUNY Brockport. From 1999-2004 he served Western New York as section 89's section chair. Currently he serves as vice chair of the Nation Leadership Development Committee and is an adviser to Gamma chapter at Cornell University He is also a director for Launch, Explore, Discover and Serve, and has presented at many conferences and conventions.
